Ninjas MIA
Jun. 23rd, 2011 01:15 pmOk, I know I haven't been around for a while. Last week, Trevor's sister had to go to the emergency room. She has some medical problems, so it's kinda something we're used to. She'll be fine, but they kept her in the hospital for a few nights. Trevor's parents were out of town at the time, so we spent a lot of time over there with her. She's 15.
The Ninjas and I went out that afternoon to a playground to do Summer Ninja stuff. I went home with Trevor to watch some tv and have dinner. Almost as soon as we got home Cynthia said she wasn't feeling well. Having experience with her medical problems, and especially since their parants weren't there, we drove streight to the ER.
They saw us right away but it was about 2 hours before she got a bed in the ER, and they didn't tell us they where going to admit her until almost morning. They gace Cynthia something and she slept through most of the night except when the nurses came for tests or blood or drugs.
Trevor and I, on the other hand, where sitting in tiny, hard chairs, and did I mention it was freezing in there? Yeah, it was pretty aweful. Around 4:30 in the morning, they'd brought Cynthia up to a room and she was asleep, so Trevor and I went outside to try to defrost. Of course, it was exactly the temperature outside as in, so that was helpful.
Luckily we found a blanket in the car so we sat on the wall huddled together and watched the sunrise. It was actually really nice. And I still had Ninja Barbie in my bag so she watched it with us.
Trevor'd called his parents but they wouldn't be able to get home till the next night. So we spent the morning in the hospital too. Trevor's other sister got there around 11 so we went to lunch. The hospital cafe had been closed all night for some reason, which royaly sucked because it's usually not, so this was the first time we'd gotten to eat since lunch the day before.
Anyway, this was Friday. Their parents got back late Saturday night, and Cynthia was released from the hospital on Tuesday morning. We decided to count the overnight hospital stay as "stay out all night" cause even though that's not what we had in mind, we had Ninja Barbie at the time so technically...
And I promise, I will post those pictures and playlist eventually. >.
